And although there are a plethora of delicious barbecue options dripping with sauces that range from mildly tangy to downright spicy, Kansas City’s culinary scene is about so much more than this traditional Cowtown cuisine.
At the heart of this culinary renaissance? Dedicated chefs and restaurateurs that aren’t just masters of their craft–they have a true passion for bringing delicious, authentic food to their diners. In the latest issue of KC Magazine, known online as This Is KC, I introduce five of the city’s food stars, each of whom has left an indelible mark on the city’s landscape. Oh, and they’re all fascinating, too!
My only word of caution? Prepare to be hungry — really hungry — by the time you’re done reading the story, thanks in large part to the tempting food photos taken by Paul Andrews. In fact, you should probably go ahead and visit one of the featured establishments — and when you do, be sure to swing back by the blog and tell me about your adventure!
Bon appetit–and happy reading!
